Those taking festive shopping breaks to Italy property or a holiday home in France could be interested to hear that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a warning over travelling with certain items in their luggage.
Manager at the Dangerous Goods Office at the CAA Geoff Leach said that passengers need to take into consideration whether what they are attempting to fly with could cause harm to other people.
"Whilst we are all made aware of the security restrictions imposed, people still need to be reminded that some items that are relatively innocuous in everyday use are restricted from carriage on board an aircraft," he noted.
Trips to a French property could be on the schedule for Brits this year, who may want to head to the country to stock up on festive food and drink for their Christmas celebrations.
However, travellers may want to check out the rules around how much they can bring back through customs.
