Robertson has been in town to explore potential co-operation opportunities between the UK and Turkey. He was quick to stress just how important it is to convince the International Olympic Committee about the vision and reasons behind the bid. He pointed out that where Athens had spelt a return to the home of the Olympics and London’s bid had highlighted the desire to inspire kids to participate in sport – it is essential that Turkey stresses its motives loud and clear.
