Property in Italy's Puglia region can be reached via the gateway city of BrindisiBrindisi acts as a gateway to the wider Puglia region, according to the Italian State Tourist Board, as well as having an airport that allows overseas visitors to reach property in Italy.

This airport has been a driving force behind the greater number of visitors to the city in recent years, according to Stefania Gatta, a spokesperson for the tourism authority.

It also provides access to property in Italy‘s nearby baroque towns, such as Lecce, with other attractions in both directions along the shore.

“All the coast there, both to the south and the north of Brindisi, is very, very beautiful,” says Ms Gatta.

The port town also offers a link to Greece for people looking for an easy way to reach the country and extend their holiday internationally.

Nearby white cities Otranto and Ostuni offer a different taste of Italian property.

“Both in Ostuni and Otranto the traditional buildings are white, because it is very hot there in the summer,” explains Ms Gatta.
