The Canary Islands could be the ideal choice for people who want to head to property in Spain to get some sunshine, according to one newspaper.
An article in the Independent highlighted some of the top winter sun destinations and placed the Canary Islands at the top of the list, noting that their relative proximity to the UK makes them an excellent choice.
"This Atlantic archipelago is as close as you can get to a near-guarantee of perfect conditions in January and February," the publication stated.
Earlier this month, readers of the Telegraph made some recommendations about how to spend your time when staying in Spanish property on the islands.
Jan Hills from North Yorkshire commented on the "fabulous" walking opportunities available in the rainforest on La Palma, while Paula Thistlethwaite from Devon stated that February is the ideal time to visit Gran Canaria.
The Las Palmas Carnival and Festival of Almond Blossom both take place at this time, she explained.
