Backpacker Campervans Australia has introduced a new high-tech website that uses Google mapping technology to make it easier for backpackers to get around the country, the company claims.
Walking enthusiasts from around Australia will be able to customise their own routes to create their "perfect travel adventure".

The website uses Google Maps and geo-coded travel information that can be accessed online, rather than having to deal with roadmaps and guide books.
Quinton Hall, chief information officer for Backpacker Campervans’ parent company Tourism Holdings, believes the website’s route planner offers a novel way to travel across Australia.
"If you chose a particular driving route, you can then add points of interest like skydiving or a bushwalk, or find a place to camp around Australia," he said.
