"Unrivalled cuisine is on the agenda for summer 2010," the tourism authority says, "as well as breathtaking scenery, clear mountain air and the unique Ladin culture".

Among the ecologically inspired schemes operational in the area is an initiative to reward motorists who choose not to use a car for the duration of their stay in Alta Badia.

The area’s own tourism site notes that travel around the Dolomites area is relatively easy using ski lifts and public transport under the Mountain Pass Alta Badia scheme.
