The airline industry has indicated that demand for travel is returning to pre-recession levels, which could prove good news to those with French property.
Newly published figures from the Official Airline Guide (OAG) show that airlines have made 314.2 million seats available in August, including flights to French property destinations, representing a rise of 0.2 per cent on August last year.
David Beckerman, VP market intelligence at OAG, said: "The latest OAG figures on global airline capacity will be welcomed.
"The small but steady increase in seat capacity over recent months indicates a growing confidence among airlines that market demand may be returning to previous levels."
The rise equates to 472,839 more seats on international flight being on offer to customers this August, including those planning on a French property-based vacation.
The additional seats could also result in increased competition for custom between airlines, which may prove positive for second-home owners planning to check in on their French property this summer.
