Spain will be the top destination for Britons looking to make the most of the two long weekends that are coming up as a result of various bank holidays.
A new survey by easyJet shows Malaga and Madrid are the top picks for travellers heading overseas later this month – which may mean more people will be staying in property in Spain over Easter and the May Day weekend.
Paul Simmons, UK director for easyJet, said it is "no surprise" that sunny Malaga is proving popular among holidaymakers at the moment, even with the favourable weather currently being seen in Britain.
"It seems that savvy Brits are still keen to head abroad for guaranteed sunshine and a change of scenery," he explained.
Travellers looking at property in Spain in or near Malaga may want to make sure they visit the Alcazaba and the Picasso Museum.
Spanish Tourist Office UK and Ireland director Ignacio Vasallo recently recommended the two attractions for holidaymakers heading to the area, as well as highlighting the La Semana Santa Easter procession that will be taking place in Malaga later this month.
