In fact, the only country to fare worse than Bulgaria for that year was Slovenia, who registered a plummet of 27.3%.

There was an average annual decrease between all Euro zone members of around 2% in April, whilst the overall construction output for the EU slid by 1.2%.

Month on month, the overall construction output in the euro area increased ever so slightly, by 0.7%, however in the whole of the EU it was down by 0.9%.

18.7% was the largest annual rise and was recorded by Poland, followed then by Sweden who recorded 8.1%. Germany and France recorded 4.5% and 3.8% growth respectively.
