Virgin Blue has had a makeover and become Virgin Australia at a recent event. The makeover was completed with the gift of two brand new planes, a Boeing 737-800 and an Airbus A330-200 added to its domestic fleet.

Virgin Australia now prides itself on offering luxury flying experiences, with leather seating, a gourmet in-flight menu, modern interior design and high quality products. The mastermind behind Virgin, Richard Branson, said that Virgin Australia hopes to offer the best Business Class flights in the country.

The CEO for Virgin Australia, John Borghetti said “Business class guests can look forward to complimentary access to our Lounges, priority check-in, a seamless travel experience and luxurious cabin space and seating.” He also stated that they still strive to offer these luxury flights at competitive prices.

Travellers with Virgin Australia’s Business class can recline their seats and relax whilst watching films on entertainment systems, and choose a meal which, unlike other airlines, will be freshly prepared aboard the Airbus.

Guests are also awarded toiletries, head cushions, blankets and noise cancelling headset devices to make their flight as comfortable as possible.

The Sydney to Perth route will be up and running later this month and will be providing a 3x daily service by June 2011. Perhaps it’s time to book your Australian property viewing trip using Virgin Blue?
