Take a tour of Rungis market from a property in FranceThe tradesmen's market of Rungis in Paris is opening its doors to the public for the first time and people staying in a property in France will now be able to take a guided tour of the site.

Spanning for some 232 hectares, the market is a feast for the senses, with all manner of fresh produce being bought and sold here every day.

Foodies could find it is a fantastic opportunity to see where some of Paris' top restaurants source their ingredients from, with more than half of the seafood eaten in the city purchased from the market, for example.

Fruit, vegetables, meat and flowers are just some of the other items that are traded on stalls here.

The tours will take place on the second Friday of each month, with pick up in Paris at 5:00 local time.

At the end of the visit, guests are treated to a traditional market breakfast – consisting of pastries, fruit salad, charcuteries and a cheeseboard, as well as a selection of drinks – before returning to their property in France.
