Discover Lisbon's urban art with a stay in property in PortugalAnyone heading off to stay in property in Portugal may want to plan a few days in Lisbon, with one journalist noting that the street art in the city is particularly impressive.

Writing for the Guardian, Rachel Dixon stated that visitors will be able to see some "cutting-edge street art" on a trip to the city.

She noted that artists have been given the opportunity to transform derelict buildings in Lisbon into pieces of art as part of the Crono Project, which started in June 2010.

Ms Dixon pointed out that one of the advantages of seeking out Lisbon's street art while staying in property in Portugal is that she was able to get out and about.

"That's the beauty of street art: you can see it without being confined to a gallery," she commented.

However, she added that there are some establishments that display urban art indoors, including the Yellow Pants gallery which hosts exhibitions by both emerging and established artists and claims that it is always "pushing the boundaries of the art scene in Lisbon".
