New property in Spain can be found in FuerteventuraIf property in Spain's main Canary Island tourist resorts doesn't sound appealing, a second look at Fuerteventura could be worthwhile.

Unlike its neighbours Gran Canaria and Tenerife, the island joined the tourism race only relatively recently, explains director gerente of the Fuerteventura Tourist Board Jota Cabrera Bonny.

"For us it's not important in numbers; it's important to make sure that there is something solid, that it is something that will stick," he adds.

Fuerteventura's relatively recent entry into the tourism industry also means it represents an opportunity to find fairly new property in Spain.

"We have accommodation that is very new, very modern and very, very comfortable," Mr Bonny says.

This is set against a backdrop of "unique" natural resources and deserted beaches stretching for kilometres which touch the turquoise waves at the ocean's edge.
