Britons are tending to opt for shorter-haul holidays as the credit crunch continues to bite, new research has suggested, something that could have implications for Brittany property.

The head of product marketing at online travel firm Expedia.co.uk, Jonathan Cudworth, said: "The most recent data saw seven of the ten destinations featured [in the Expedia.co.uk travel hotspots barometer] were less than a three hour flight away from the UK."

He stated that with plenty of cheap options available, the high cost of the euro would not put people off.
