Late April and early May sees the annual International Tiber Canoe Descent taking place, something that may interest Italy property buyers keen on watersports.

The Discesa del Tevere event lasts from April 24th to May 2nd and sees the canoeists take on long stretches of the river as they make their way downstream from Citta’ di Castello to Rome.

On each of the seven days there are 20-30 km of paddling, so those participating may need to be familiar with the inside of a canoe first.
