Some of the best male tennis players in the world will be in action in Rome this spring as the eternal city hosts the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, part of the ATP Masters tour.

Held from April 27th to May 4th, the event will offer Italy property seekers and others the chance to see some of the biggest names in the sport.

As an example of this, last year’s tournament was won by the 2008 Australian Open champion, Novak Djokovic, while the previous three years had seen Rafael Nadal triumphing on the clay courts.

The roll of honour down the years has also included such greats as Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras and Bjorn Borg.

Italy property buyers may also enjoy a range of other events in the Italian capital during the spring.

These include the Birth of Rome, which is marked on April 21st to commemorate the founding of the city in 753 BC.
