Those looking to buy Orlando property for tourist rental purposes have been told to make sure it offers a competitive deal and good prices.

With more rental properties available across the US and many people looking to book late, those wishing to be successful at letting out their assets need to ensure they are as appealing as possible, the New York Times has stated.

Orlando property owner Victor Nawrocki told the paper he made the house more attractive for families with Disney-themed decor, something that has succeeded in achieving an 85 per cent occupancy rate.

He said: "If I want to be fully booked, I have to offer more features that renters can’t find elsewhere."

A recent survey showed that Orlando remains a popular visitor destination, coming sixth in a poll of the top ten cities that affluent Americans would like to visit by tourist research firm Ypartnership.
