Value for money can be achieved with a stay in property in Italy's ski resortsProperty in Italy could be among the eurozone destinations where skiers can find value for money in a stronger exchange rate environment for the pound.

Betony Garner, spokeswoman for the Ski Club of Great Britain, says Italy is "high up there" both in terms of affordability and literally in terms of its altitude.

In the case of Cervinia, recently named the best-value leading resort by Post Office, she adds: "It is a snow-sure resort so it is just a good bet for early-season skiing."

Property in Italy's ski resorts could be in particular demand thanks to the strengthening pound, she claims.

"The recovery of the pound is definitely going to help skiers get better value for money in Europe," she says.

In Italy in particular, Ms Garner suggests that better affordability can be seen in the major resorts than is usually the case when staying in property in France's equivalent skiing destinations.
