Customers of TAP Portugal and Continental Airlines may have access to more routes to property in Portugal with the news that the two operators have entered into a code-sharing agreement.
Effective from today (Monday, October 11th), the deal means either airline may sell tickets for some CO and TP coded flights from New York to Portugal and onwards to domestic destinations in the Mediterranean country.
As a result, there are now new ways for travellers on either airline's network to reach property in Portugal's holiday destinations such as Oporto, Madeira and Faro.
Further flights link the network with the UK, along with other locations in Africa, France, Germany and Spain, providing a comprehensive travel map for much of the world.
The news follows a similar recent announcement from Aeroflot and Air France to allow both operators to sell tickets for some flights into France from Russia, as well as on domestic links onwards to Lyon, Marseilles, Toulouse and Strasbourg.
