An auction of 48 Florida property lots is to take place between March 17th and 31st, it has been announced.

The sale, organised by Rowell Realty & Auction Co, will offer a variety of different kinds of home in a number of locations in the state.

Among these are properties varying from family homes to large country estates, while locations featuring lots include Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Pensacola, Port St. Lucie and Tallahassee, the company stated.

Such prospects may be of interest to those keen on picking up Florida property bargains at auction.

A large number of homes have been available for auction in Florida due to the high volume of foreclosures and distressed sales that has occurred there in recent months, which might make now an ideal time to buy.

Speaking about the recent falls in Florida property prices, agency network manager at international property firm Savills International Joanna Leverett told the Times: "Prices have reached rock bottom."
