Brittany property holders should be able to secure good rental returns during the summer season, one expert has said.

According to John Reilly, managing director at BuyAbroad.com, the Brittany property market and areas such as the south coast offer strong rental opportunities.

"In the holiday-type destinations there is always a steady flow of rental potential from one year to the next," he remarked.

Mr Reilly stated that those who can purchase French property in "the right location" and can guarantee it will be rented out can still find a "good buy" as the market in the country is a stable area of investment.

Furthermore, he noted that while house prices have dropped in most locations in France, homes in the right areas are "still holding their money".

Meanwhile, a survey based on Google searches by Write About Property last month revealed that France is the most searched for country for foreign property.
