A new advertising campaign to promote the Costa Blanca is being launched by tourist chiefs.

The project will see €2 million (£1.79 million) being spent on a series of commercials aimed at Britons, reports Typically Spanish, with the cost shared between the provincial and national governments.

Buses, trains, cinemas and street poster sites will feature adverts for holidays in the region.

If successful, the campaign could boost British interest, something that may have benefits for those investing in Costa Blanca property on a buy-to-let basis.

One part of the Costa Blanca has proved to be very popular among Britons, a recent poll showed.

The survey by holiday firm Thompson saw Benidorm come top of a list of the most favoured overseas destinations.

Such a finding may suggest that Costa Blanca property investors should consider the town as a place to buy.
