Fans of Barolo wine may want to visit property in Italy's Piedmont regionProperty in Italy‘s Piemonte region could allow enthusiasts of Barolo wine to visit its homeland.

Hatim Dungarwalla, managing director of Lovethatwine, says that Barolo is an ideal wine for newcomers to tasting to begin with.

Mr Dungarwalla suggests the Barolo from Radcliffe as a good starting point.

“Taste through the range with food and friends and you’ll pretty much get a good understanding of the world wine landscape,” he advises.

However, a more immersive approach could be to book a stay in property in Italy‘s Piemonte region, where Barolo wine is grown.

The Italian Government Tourist Board lists no fewer than 13 white wines and 41 red wines grown in the Piemonte – or Piedmont – region.

Barolo is among the reds, along with a wine simply named Piedmont after the region itself.

Other wines may also be available in the area, as the tourism authority adds that its list includes “the most famous” to be grown in each region.
