A new airport parking solution has been offered to French Riviera property owners.

Azur Parking has suggested that its new service located near Nice airport will interest French Riviera property owners who perhaps use the house as a second home, or only stay in the area for part of the year.

From May 2009, users of the service can park their vehicle at the airport and also take advantage of free transfers for a fixed annual fee.

This saves property owners from using a taxi or hiring a car every time they visit the region, the company suggested.

Founder of the firm Jack van Maas said: "Many owners of a holiday home on the Cote d’Azur spend more money on taxi fare and car hire than on airfare."

He added that there is a high demand for the service.

Recently, head of overseas at Rightmove.co.uk Robin Wilson told the Times that those seeking to buy a house in the southern Alps could find the home doubles as a French Riviera property during the summer due to the proximity of the two locations.
