Property in France could suit modern art-lovers this yearProperty in France‘s 17th-century community of Villeneuve d’Ascq, close to Lille, could be the ideal destination for lovers of modern art this September.

On September 25th, the Museum of Modern Art of Villeneuve d’Ascq – now renamed the LaM – is due to reopen after four years of upgrades and renovation.

Its interior is a radical departure from the former museum, according to the French Government Tourist Office, both in terms of materials used and in its styling.

Designer Manuelle Gautrand is responsible for this, having created the plans for the newly extended building, which incorporates additional space at the rear.

Property in France‘s surrounding area stands at what the tourism body calls "the crossroads between London, Paris and Brussels".

There is also the opportunity to see the 17th-century chateau around which the community is formed, with the town’s own tourism office located close by and exhibitions held throughout the year.
