Rail Europe is offering special first class fares to help UK residents reach property in France in considerable style.

Travel dates between July 13th and August 31st can be booked, with the tickets able to be purchased through until August 27th.

For a one-way journey to Reims or Champagne from Paris, tickets can be bought for £18.

Longer journeys can include an overnight element, with prices starting from £49 for first class travel to Nice, Perpignan, Biarritz or Cannes.

"Anyone crossing the Channel this summer for a break in France can take advantage of savings of up to 80 per cent on first class rail travel to destinations throughout France," the rail operator says.

Reaching property in France‘s capital city of Paris need take little longer than two hours, according to Rail Europe.

With return prices from £69, the city can be reached in two hours and 15 minutes, not including any necessary transfer times, from London.
