The Volvo World Match Play Championship has been redesigned, making property in Spain the place for golfers from around the world to head in May 2011.

Scheduled to last from May 19th to 22nd next year, the championship has relocated to Spain from its former home in the UK.

As such, keen golfers or spectators who want to continue their support of the tournament may want to look into property in Spain to stay in for next year’s contest.

Meanwhile, as it takes up residence at Finca Cortesin, the tournament itself is changing slightly, according to the Andalusia tourism website.

Along with new classification criteria, the tourism body says that this means the championship will offer "spaces for players of all circuits" in 2011.

Finca Cortesin is a development overlooking the Mediterranean with a championship-level golf course and Jack Nicklaus Academy on-site.

Shops, sports clubs and spa facilities add to the services available at the course.
