Property in France could provide some much-needed practice space for sports fans ahead of the Grand Raid Nord-Pas de Calais.

The three-discipline sporting event is scheduled to last from June 23rd to 27th and provides an opportunity for exercise fanatics to put their physique to the test, either against other participants or to prove something to themselves.

A route through the Nord-Pas de Calais region includes single-discipline events in each of the cities visited, along with the five-day multi-discipline challenge.

The region’s tourism authority suggests that the itinerary should prove both festive and popular, while allowing people of all ages and abilities to become involved.

For the main event, participants heading to property in France must have a team of four members including one or more female.

Disciplines likely to be included range from orienteering, hiking and biking to ropework and rollerblading – although the road race is due to remain a secret "up to the last minute" according to the organisers.
