More golfing enthusiasts could be heading to property in Spain with the news that qualification for the Volvo World Match Play tournament is now open to Andalusia’s most successful golfers.

At the end of October, the inaugural Andalusia Masters is due to take place, followed next spring by the Andalusia Open.

The winner and runner-up in each event is now guaranteed a place at the Volvo World Match Play Championship, thanks to a deal struck by Volvo, the European Tour and Spain’s Real Federacion Espanola de Golf and regional Real Federacion Andaluza de Golf.

Fans of the sport may already have had their interest in property in Spain piqued by Sergio Garcia’s qualification for last year’s event, when it moved to the golf resort of Finca Cortesin.

The Real Federacion Andaluza de Golf suggests that the region provides enjoyable surroundings and Europe’s finest climate in which to enjoy a round on the fairways.
