Flights to the Canary Islands start from £49.99 in May and June. Owners of property in France, Spain and Italy can get up to 50 per cent off flights to the countries and other European destinations in May and June.

Low cost carrier Jet2.com said that its price cuts mean Britons can leave the cloudy, wet weather behind and enjoy their property abroad from £9.99.

Throughout May and June, the airline is offering one-way flights into Rome and Paris from £20, including taxes.

Meanwhile, owners of Spanish property could jet off to sunny Majorca or any of the other Canary Islands from £49.99 one-way including taxes.

Since it launched its daily services out of Leeds Bradford International Airport in February 2003, Jet2.com has flown more than seven million passengers to destinations around Europe.

The following year, it added a base at Manchester Airport and in 2005, introduced routes out of Newcastle Airport and Blackpool International Airport.

Jet2.com also flies out of Edinburgh Airport and Belfast International Airport.

Around 97 per cent of the carrier’s seats are booked online through its website.
