Take the wine road to property in France's Southern Burgundy regionProperty in France‘s Southern Burgundy region allows wine-lovers to take the "wine road" as they discover the heritage of vineyards in the area.

The French Government Tourist Office explains that there are a variety of ways to enjoy wine in Southern Burgundy.

Suggested activities range from visiting the vineyards themselves, to experiencing the wines alongside local food or even while looking at the architecture and castles of the region.

Property in France‘s "mythical village" of Pouilly-Solutre could be at the heart of these experiences, as the Atrium at the heart of the community offers wines grown in five different local soils and is open from April to October, Tuesdays through Sundays.

In Macon, meanwhile, eight different itineraries constitute the local wine road route, covering a total of 70 different wine-producing villages.

Macon Tourism adds that the local red wine, stemmed from the black Gamay vine, offers surprising flavours and freshness along with a brightness of colour.
