People thinking of heading to property in France‘s Vendee region have the opportunity to gain a sneak preview of their desired destination from May 5th to 8th.

At the Westfield London shopping centre between those dates, a giant party is planned as the Vendee Tourist Board comes to town.

Would-be holidaymakers and expatriates alike are invited to "step into the world of Vendee" by the region’s tourism body.

"Through this London visit, the Vendee aims to reinforce the special relationship that makes its territory such a favourite with British holidaymakers," the French Government Tourist Office adds.

Part of the reason why the British are so warmly welcomed to the Vendee region is their significance to the area’s tourism trade.

In 2009, the UK was the single greatest source of incoming tourists to the Vendee, with more than one in four arrivals being British.

The upcoming party in London aims to highlight to anyone who has not yet been the rich culture and gastronomic delights that await them.
