Iberia worked hard to keep people heading to property in Spain despite the erupting volcano in IcelandDespite interruptions to its service, travellers with Iberia can still expect to reach property in Spain in good time.

Following the Icelandic volcanic eruption that interrupted air travel services throughout Europe, Iberia achieved a punctuality rate of 90 per cent on its flights by 13:00 local time on April 22nd.

The flights that were affected were, in some places, replaced with land-based alternative methods of transport.

A fleet of more than 30 buses carried passengers who were setting out from property in Spain and heading towards France, Germany and other destinations across the continent.

Flights to Portugal were also among the first to resume, with Iberia’s arrangements for travellers affected by the eruption remaining in place until April 29th.

Meanwhile, anyone looking to travel to property in Spain was reassured that services are now back to normal and routes to almost all destinations have seats available for purchase at present.
