Property in Spain could be an ideal investment, especially in the town of A Coruna where funding and ambitious developments are set to take place.

The town is relatively unknown to UK travellers but may soon raise its profile as vice mayor and councillor for tourism has Henrique Tello, presented the Tourism Development Plan to the media.

Together with representatives from the company who designed the plan, Daemon Quest, Mr Tello intends to transform A Coruna by improving the number of tourists and the amount of money they spend.

This could be good news for investors looking to buy property in Spain now as the prices could go up should the plans take effect.

Luis Gali, manager of Daemon Quest, explained the strategic lines in the plan are to modernise the image of the city. The city brand is to be unified with special emphasis on cuisine, nature, sea sports and culture.

He added that A Coruna will be "a natural, living, welcoming city where there is always something happening. The Tower of Hercules will be fundamental to enhance A Coruna as a tourist destination."

The Tower of Hercules is a lighthouse which is over 2,000 years old and is the town’s primary landmark.
