Italian property is already popular with UK investors, but added interest in the country could develop after it was deemed to have a better quality of life than in the UK.

According to International Living magazine’s Quality of Life Index, Italy is among the top ten destinations while the UK did not feature in the list.

Italian property could be seen as a wise way to invest your money but the country can also offer a better quality of life if people choose to move from the UK.

The results from International Living magazine’s report are based on a points system where each country is given a score in categories such as cost of living, economy, freedom, health and climate.

Unsurprisingly, the UK scored poorly in the climate category but Italy still out-pointed the UK overall. Italy’s health care system was rated second in the world and the country reportedly holds 60 per cent of the world’s art treasures.
