Owners of French property who like nothing more than heading to the country’s capital city and hitting its world famous shops may be interested to learn that US chain American Apparel has opened two new stores in Paris.

In December, the successful chain made the move into the French capital city and also opened four more stores across the globe, giving it a total of 281 shops all over the world.

Paris is famed for its high-end boutiques and owners of property in France could stumble across stores from Chanel to Louis Vuitton to an outlet of famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin footwear, which are a favourite of X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

Go Paris advises fans of designer fashion to head to the Faubourg Saint-Honore district, which is home to many high-end boutiques and cosmetic stores, including Versace and avant-garde brand Colette.

Owners of French property looking for a bargain could also visit one of the famous flea markets which Paris has.
