The French Government Tourist Office notes the attraction of property in France’s Cote d’Azur.
Dinner in one of the restaurants of the region, along with champagne, could be one of the more traditional ways to spend February 14th.
However, couples could also enjoy some self-indulgence by heading to a spa together for some pampering and relaxation.
"Surprise the special person in your life with a break on the sunny French Riviera, the perfect destination for a romantic trip for two!" the tourism organisation enthuses.
For those on a budget, there are still ways to enjoy the region without spending any extra money.
"What could be more romantic than strolling hand in hand along the beach?" the Tourist Office asks.
For a more immediate getaway to the Cote d’Azur region, winter sports enthusiasts could head there for snow "like nowhere else", according to the Riviera Cote d’Azur tourism portal.
