The Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi could be making moves to sell his Italian property in Sardinia, reports have suggested.

According to local reports in the Corriere della Sera newspaper, the leader may be looking to sell his Italy property for as much as 450 million euros.

Those who are reportedly interested in investing in the Italian property include the half-brother of the ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan, Sheikh Mohammad bin Khalifa al-Nahayan.

However, website AND Kronos International has reported that the royal family of the emirate have denied that they are interested in purchasing the Italian property, which could interest overseas property investors looking for a high-value home in the country.

According to the website, the family were "astonished" to be linked to the buying of the Italian property.
