Those who own French property in the Pyrenees could find that a holiday in the area gives them the chance to enjoy both the snow and the sun this year.

According to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, the midi-Pyrenees is the sixth most popular place in France for those visiting from overseas.

Commenting on this, Chantal Pitin, the head of leisure traffic development at the airport, said that the area is "special" as it offers both snow and sun.

"We are in the south of France and what is different about the resort is that they are little resorts, family resorts so the atmosphere is very different from the Alps," she commented.

French property owners in the area may agree with this view and could already be planning a trip to their French home for a winter ski break.

Those visiting French property can fly to the Pyrenees from Bristol and Edinburgh, she said.
