British people looking for the ideal place to invest in a holiday home are continuing to favour Spanish property and homes in other European countries traditionally popular with Brits.

According to editor at A Place in the Sun Magazine Richard Way, Brits are keen to invest in property in destinations which they are familiar with or have holidayed to in the past.

As well as this, proximity to the UK is also a consideration – which might make Spanish property a good buy.

Mr Way also said that confidence seems to be returning to the overseas property market and that Brits are considering it more as an option.

While many may choose to invest in traditional European destinations, Mr Way commented that the most popular stand at the recent A Place in the Sun Live exhibition was selling Florida property.

Brits may be tempted to invest in such a destination due to the promise of good weather and the opportunity to soak up the sun.
