Anyone with an equal passion for golf and sunshine should consider investing in a Portugal property, it has been claimed.

Golf and Portugal property go hand in hand, according to the Unique Living property agency, an assertion which is backed by the Algarve’s nickname as ‘the home of golf’ and the country’s pending bid to host the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Serge Cowan, managing director of Unique Living, says: "Portugal is the place to own a property if you are a golfer.
