Did that half-term skiing break get you pining for your own place by the slopes? Here’s a pick of some of the exciting new developments available in the French Alps right now…

Arc 1800
The flagship new development of Arc 1800, part of Les Arcs in the Paradiski area, is Edenarc 1800, a purpose-built pedestrianised village next to theS Chantel ski lifts and with views of Mont Blanc.
The first phase of residential development has sold out and the chance to buy into the 41-unit second résidence, called Les Monarques, is now available off-plan.

The one to three-bedroom apartments there are sold as part of a leaseback scheme. On-site facilities include swimming pools, sauna, Turkish baths, Jacuzzi and fitness centre, as well as a brasserie, bar and grocery store.

Arc 1800, at an altitude of 1800 metres, is the biggest of four villages that make up Les Arcs. It is the central hub between the other three villages – Arc 1600, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. Les Arcs is a true year-round resort, with its 27-hole golf course, conveniently located next to Edenarc 1800, and its new Mille8 zone, which includes on and off-slope activities as well as a new Aquafun leisure centre.

Also, it’s little known that you can reach Les Arcs without travelling at all by road – by taking the TGV into Bourg-St-Maurice and then the 30-minute funicular ride as far as the resort! For more info, click on the image.

La Plagne Soleil
La Plagne Soleil sits at 2050 metres at the heart of the Paradiski ski area. The resort offers quick access to La Plagne Centre, Belle Plagne and Bellecote glacier high above the resort. The entire village of La Plagne is ski-in ski-out, providing direct access to the 425 kilometres of piste.

The White Pearl is the first five-star development to be launched in the whole of the La Plagne. This leaseback development, fully managed by CGH, one of France’s most renowned companies, will comprise 81 large apartments over eight separate buildings. Prices start from €325,000.

It will include a high-end spa, with indoor and outdoor pools, and fitness centre, as well as private storage for owners, ski lockers and underground parking facilities. As a leaseback development, properties at The White Pearl come with a number of options for personal usage and guaranteed returns for owners.

Les Gets
Chocolate-box Les Gets, part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, is a firm favourite with families. Two new key developments there are the Annapurna and Kinabalu résidences, currently sold off-plan with completion expected in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Both residences offer luxury accommodation sold on a classic freehold basis, rather than leasehold, and properties range in size from one to six-bed apartments in Kinabalu and two to five-bed in Annapurna.
The new-build developments sit next to each other, just metres from the piste and within the centre of Les Gets village. Included will be a private pool and luxury spa complex, lounge bar, restaurant, underground parking and a 24-hour concierge service.

Les Houches
Just outside the town of Chamonix and in the shadow of mighty Mont Blanc is the smaller, family-oriented resort of Les Houches, which is linked by slopes with the resort St Gervais.

Here, French developer MGM has recently broken ground on its new Chalet d’Éléna leaseback résidence, with one to three-bedroom apartments now available off-plan. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2018. Planned facilities for the résidence include a spa, gym and pool. For more information, click here.
