Lagos
The hub of the western Algarve, historic Lagos, fans out from its charming 16th Century walled town centre. It has some of the prettiest beaches in Portugal, many tucked beneath the picturesque, rugged coastline. The most famous though is Meia Praia, which offers four kilometres of golden sand, stretching east of the town’s award-winning modern marina.
On a new complex with a communal pool, and within walking distance of Meia Praia beach, the marina and all types of amenities, these new one bedroom apartments are well kitted out. They include air con, fully equipped kitchens and electric blinds. For more info, click on the image.

Albufeira
The beating heart of the central Algarve, Albufeira, combines old town charm, with vibrant nightlife and fantastic beaches. “There are a staggering 25 or so beaches dotted along the Albufeira coastline, ranging from the Fisherman’s Beach in the centre of the town to the five kilometre long Praia d’Oura, popular with water sports fans,” confirmed Marina Pasquill, who works for Smart Currency Exchange on the Algarve.
Five minutes east of Albufeira town is the old fishing village of Olhos de Agua, known for its restaurants and where our next development is situated. Here, fully equipped two bedroom apartments are available on the first and second floors. Again, proximity to the beach is complemented by communal pools. There are also two nine hole golf courses, Balaia and Pine Cliffs, nearby. For more info, click on the image.

Vilamoura
Purpose built Vilamoura ticks all the right boxes needed for a world class resort. Set around an internationally acclaimed marina, fringed by restaurants that look out over multi-million-pound yachts, it is also the epicentre of golf on the Algarve, with four championship golf courses on the northern side of town. The two principal beaches here are Praia da Marina and Praia de Falesia.
One notable new development between the Victoria and Millennium golf courses in Vilamoura is L’Orangerie, which includes a five-star hotel and condominium-style high-spec two and three-bed duplex apartments. Available with 100 percent mortgages and offering good rental potential, click on the image to find out more.

Vale do Lobo
The oldest and most established golf and beach resort in Portugal, Vale do Lobo is one of Europe’s most desirable self-contained tourist residential communities, along with its equally prestigious neighbour, the newer Quinta do Lago. Vale do Lobo has two championship golf courses, the Royal and Ocean, and has twice hosted the Portuguese Open. It also boasts an unspoiled stretch of beachfront, all types of leisure and sports facilities, and its own boutique collection of shops, bars and restaurants.
Take a look at this two bedroom duplex apartment in Vale do Lobo. Within walking distance of the beach, it includes a rooftop terrace with sea views and a Jacuzzi!
