A French property exhibition will be held in London in September, run by lifestyle magazine Archant Life France.

The event will be held at Olympia from September 11th to 13th and will feature a range of prospects for buyers, the publisher has stated, commenting that a recent exhibition in Harrogate saw much optimism about the market being expressed.

Editor of French Property News Karen Tait said: "Many French properties have come down in price significantly over recent months, more than outweighing any exchange rate difficulties," adding that there are "some real bargains" to be had.

Ms Tait remarked that as the value of the pound improves against the euro, this advantage will increase, while "canny" buyers are taking advantage of the availability of low mortgage rates in the country.

The right investment could bring about good capital growth over the next few years, French property law specialist Sarah Bogard of law firm Furley Page said this week.
