It may come as a surprise to some that Kusadasi have beaten the likes of Istanbul’s suburbs and the buzzing resort of Bodrum to seize the crown as the most popular place to buy.

Following closely behind are the popular spots of Cannakale and Didim. Bodrum has been pushed into fourth place, marginally in front of Istanbul’s suburbs.
The survey also announced that property sales across the Aegean region have increased by an impressive 33 per cent. In stark contrast, there has been a 70 per cent drop in property sales on the Mediterranean coast and a 25 per cent fall in Istanbul.

With this is mind, the TurkeyBuyingGuide.com took a look at what types of property are on offer in Kusadasi.

We found this four bedroom villa which is situated on a corner plot of a fantastic development and enjoys views across the sparkling blue waters to the island of Samos. The peaceful complex is located close to the hillside village of Sogucak, only 15 minutes from the attractions of Kusadasi.

The spacious villa benefits from a full size basement, just crying out to be converted in to additional living space. The villa shares a large swimming pool, an additional children’s pool and beautiful communal gardens and is on the market for £77,640.
