Fethiye located in the Mugla Province in the Aegean Region of Turkey has long been a popular spot with holidaymakers and those Brit expats who decide that the time has come to up sticks and move to their favourite holiday destination.

We asked Andy Probert of the TurkeyBuyingGuide.com what it is that makes it such a popular destination. He told us:

Fethiye is located on the ancient city of Telmessos so when you are strolling around you can expect to chance upon fascinating ancient ruins which act as a wonderful reminder to tourists of the country’s incredible history. Team this with the pleasant climate, its natural beauty, a cheaper lifestyle and the hospitality of the local people and it is easy to understand why the region is a favourite of British expats”.

At last check, around 7,000 Brits live in Fethiye permanently and each year 600,000 tourists pay the region a visit. For the sheer number of visitors alone, Fethiye and the surrounding resorts are becoming popular places to snap up rental property in order to cater to all of the eager tourists flying in who are competing to find accommodation.

This led the Overseas Guides Company to look at the type of properties available in Fethiye that would make excellent permanent homes or investment properties and we found these apartments in the nearby resort of Hisaronu, on the market through leading agent Spot Blue.

This small development of just eight duplex apartments is located a short distance from the centre of Fethiye and close to Oludeniz, a popular area constantly listed as one of the best beaches in the world. Hisoronu itself is a lively little town with a good range of bars and restaurants. Fethiye, and its wonderful mixture of old and new, is just a short bus ride away.

The apartments all feature air-conditioning, double-glazing, open-plan living and dining areas as well as beautifully fitted kitchens. The properties all benefit from large balconies with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Prices start from just £64,900.
