Italian property owners are being offered the chance to experience a host of events aimed at highlighting the work of significant figures from the country.

Later this month, the historic venues of Florence will play host to Florentine Genius, with Leonardo and Dante among those featured.

More than 100 events will be held in total, with Whatsonwhen noting that these will include exhibitions, conventions, performances, fashion shows and concerts.

In addition, Italian property owners with an interest in actor and director Francesco Nuti will find that an entire day is dedicated to him.

The event, which runs from May 15th to 24th, will also include a debate on the origins and the mysteries of the Mona Lisa.

Elsewhere in Tuscany, this month will see the staging of the annual Barchini Boat Race, which involves four vessels – complete with wheels – competing over dry land.

Each of the boats represents a quarter of the town of Castelfranco di Sotto in Pisa, where the contest is held.
