Hit TV series Clarkson’s Farm puts Cotswolds village back in the spotlight

The second season of Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime TV show, Clarkson’s Farm, has returned to our screens, putting the Cotswolds area it’s filmed in back in the spotlight.

The show follows the former Top Gear presenter after he decided that he’d be brilliant at running the 1,000-acre countryside holding he owns in Oxfordshire. When the show launched back in 2021, we saw lots of people searching for homes close to Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington. In fact, searches for homes near the Cotswold village jumped by more than 500% on Rightmove.

The latest season of the show follows Clarkson as he launches his own restaurant (which has since been closed) and welcomes a herd of cows to the farm. Since the new episodes have aired, searches for homes in Chadlington have increased again, this time by 373% compared with the same period last year.

The average asking price for a home in the postcode area of Chadlington is currently £518,702. Between June 2021, when the first season of Clarkson’s Farm launched, and March 2023, the average asking price for a home in the postcode area of Chadlington has increased by 7%.
