‘Estate Agency All-Stars’ hit the ground running

In the few short months since it was founded by entrepreneur Joshua Rayner, next-generation property recruiter Estate Agency All-Stars has already selected, trained and placed numerous new recruits in estate agents as far afield as Scotland, Manchester and London.

The successful candidates all underwent a rigorous selection process that included psychometric testing, video interview and telephone screening. The most promising applicants were then presented to prospective employers for interview. Once job offers were made, the budding estate agents learnt the basics of estate agency during an intensive ten-day pre-employment training programme run by renowned industry trainers Julian O’Dell and Peter Chapman.

The combination of a thorough vetting procedure and comprehensive training means that new recruits are able to be productive employees from day one. This innovative approach to recruitment is attracting considerable interest from estate agency firms, both corporate and independent, as well as individuals wanting to pursue a property career.

Some of the Estate Agency All-Stars already successfully placed are:

Charlotte Delph, 23, who in May joined leading regional estate agency group Gibbs Gillespie, which has offices in Harrow, Pinner, Northwood, Ruislip, Rickmansworth and Uxbridge.

Owner Paul Gillespie, who interviewed Charlotte, remarked:
“The training course Charlotte went on had already given her an introduction to the key areas of estate agency, from legislation and conducting viewings to handling fee enquiries and converting valuation opportunities.  This meant she could hit the ground running and, with our ongoing training and support, I have no doubt she will become a valuable member of our team.”

Former junior broker Damien Bracey, 22, sailed through the application process to be offered the job of senior negotiator with West Bromwich-based estate agency group Worton Kelly.

Alex Worton, the firm’s managing director, commented:
“The concept appealed to us immediately. By coincidence, we had a position available in the company and, having been less than impressed with some of the traditional recruitment agencies we’d used, decided to give it a go. Damien was the first candidate we interviewed and we were, quite simply, blown away.”

Jamie Irvine, 23, was snapped up by the Bushey branch of award-winning Hertfordshire agents Imagine. An experienced salesman, he was looking for a career that offered him opportunities to progress with the ultimate goal of opening his own business one day.

Estate Agency All-Stars director Joshua Rayner commented:

“Rigorously vetted and pre-trained juniors can start making a contribution from their very first day and it’s gratifying to have some of the UK’s best estate agents demonstrate their belief in our new approach to recruitment. We are confident they will be the first of many.”
