The most viewed homes on Rightmove so far in 2021

We’ve seen the busiest ever first half of a year in 2021, and while much has changed in the housing market, the nation’s love of property and searching for dream homes has stayed the same.

And the five homes that have topped the viewing charts so far in 2021 all have one thing in common: each one is absolutely spectacular. We’ve found everything at these homes, from an Olympic-sized horse riding arena to a rotating car turntable – and a library filled with 20,000 books.

Check them out here. Which one is your favourite?

1. A lakeside mansion with private jetty

Can you imagine waking up to this view every day? It’s easy to see why this incredible home on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere is one of our most viewed properties this year!

All of the main rooms in the five-bedroom home face west to take full advantage of the incredible views across the lake.

Outside, two terraces overlook the lake, and there’s a private jetty and slipway.

2. An Essex mansion with an equestrian centre

Several lockdown periods on, it’s no wonder this spectacular home has captured the attention of so many of us. But this £15 million mega-mansion is going to be the biggest hit if you’re a fan of cars – and horses!

The cavernous 10-car garage features a rotating turntable and car lift up to the driveway, and there’s also an equestrian centre on the 52-acre estate with American barn-style stables and an Olympic-sized riding area.

Everything is ultra-modern inside the five-bedroom home, and the sleek, glossy white kitchen is a dream. But it’s the lower-ground floor that’s the real showstopper for us. The swimming pool has a waterfall, the spa area looks like it belongs in a five-star hotel, and there’s also a cinema, games room, and a bespoke bar with a dancefloor.

3. A waterfront mansion in Cornwall

This impressive five-bedroom home overlooking Restronguet Creek in south Cornwall is being sold for the first time ever.

It’s around four miles south of Truro – and just a ten-minute row across the creek from the home’s private jetty to the much-loved waterfront Pandora Inn.

We love the water views from the bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and office, as well as from the incredible landscaped gardens.

4. A classical mega-mansion in Surrey

Want to know what kind of home £30million buys? Well, take a look inside this 10-bedroom super-home set in open countryside in Surrey.

The sprawling estate is just incredible, from the manicured gardens, natural parkland and picturesque lake, to the outdoor swimming pool and entertainment area with a chef’s kitchen and a tennis court. There’s also two self-contained cottages..

Inside, there are nine ‘bedroom suites’, six reception rooms, an indoor pool with spa and gym, and a ten-pin bowling alley.

5. A magnificent historic gem in Devon

If the Downton Abbey cast happened to film some scenes inside The Chanters House, they would probably feel quite at home. This grand, historic manor dates back to the 14th Century and is steeped in history.

The centrepiece is The Great Library, a breathtaking room packed with 22,000 books, while the ornate formal reception room – named the Cromwell Fairfax Room – is believed to be where the Civil War of the 17th Century was declared.
